BRITs 2025

Highlights

We’re delighted that Sony Music has 13 nominations, across nine categories.

Myles Smith closed last year winning the BRITs Rising Star award (originally known as Critics’ Choice), following in the footsteps of Adele, Jorja Smith and Rag’n’Bone Man. He has received a further three nominations for Best New Artist, Pop Act and Song of the Year for Stargazing – the biggest single of 2024 by a British artist.

Central Cee, after making history at the MOBOs with his seventh win, also has three nominations, including the coveted Artist of the Year, Hip Hop/ Grime/Rap Act and Song of the Year for Band4Band, which was the biggest UK rap song of 2024 globally. JADE receives her first nominations as a solo artist for Pop Act and Song of the Year for Angel Of My Dreams, and Bring Me The Horizon have been nominated for Group of the Year

We are strongly represented throughout the international categories with Beyoncé nominated for International Song of the Year for her No.1 single Texas Hold Em’ and International Artist of the Year alongside Tyler, The Creator. Future & Metro Boomin have been shortlisted for International Group of the Year

Our partners The Orchard and AWAL also have a great run of nominations. They dominate the R&B category with nominations for Raye, Jorja Smith and Cleo Sol. Little Simz has been nominated in the HipHop/Grime/Rap category and DJO’s End of Beginning is nominated for International Song of the Year.

A huge congratulations to the nominees, and to everyone across the company who has contributed to their success!
