Ghostface Killah | Clarks

Brand Partnerships

Back in 2022, the Brand Partnerships team facilitated an iconic collaboration between Clarks and Wu-Tang legend Ghostface Killah as part of their NY ‘Soles of The City’ documentary, where he shared his love for the emblematic Wallabee shoe and its synonymity with hip-hop’s formative era. Off the back of this campaign, the team have linked Ghostface and Clarks once more, with the rapper featuring in their anniversary film ‘Somerset To The World’, which celebrates 200 incredible years of the staple UK shoe.

The powerful documentary explores the shoe giants humble beginnings, founded by family owners Cyrus and James Clark. Two centuries on, the brand has gone onto impact and shape cultural icons across the worlds of music, fashion and film to name a few. In the footage, Ghostface nods to the 300 pairs of Clarks’ that appeared in his iconic ‘Apollo Kids’ video back in 2010, and spoke on the huge success Clarks had in the late 80s hip-hop scene against rising sneaker culture. Alongside accounts from the likes of Oasis’ Liam Gallagher and British-Jamaican designer Martine Rose, the film encapsulates Clarks’ global relevance while celebrating its vision for the future.
