Who wouldn’t want to get involved in the artwork design when the titles of your EPs and singles are REMINISCENCE and PERCEPTION? JOY CROOKES had a clear vision of the imagery she wanted from the outset which we were then able to realise with her across a range of marketing assets, including merch designs for several of Joy’s key shows in the summer of 2019. The 4th Floor in-house photography team were working behind the scenes at the video shoots for Don’t Let Me Down and Since I Left You (both directed by Leon Ward) to seamlessly enhance the visual imagery across the campaign. From striking a pose on the single covers, to heightening the aesthetic underpinning Joy’s music through the range of photographic and logo tees, this was a collaboration that needed to cut through, for as Joy sings, ‘freedom, don’t come for free’.
